The Sisterhood of The Estherority Project (STEP), is more than a Sorority. Instead of using the Greek platform that all secular sororities use. We’re going for a more globally inclusive and simplified biblical approach to a Sisterhood, built around grooming women for their Divine Kingdom Purpose. It’s what you get when Queen Esther meets a Sorority; Estherority.
It is a Multicultural, Christian program designed to fill the need of women who want to be a part of a Christ-centered sisterhood instead of the secular and ritualistic nature of College Sororities. Its vision is that of a mentor-ship program designed to unite all women into fellowship through Jesus Christ while seeking to realize her divine purpose. STEP is a NON-Collegiate program, as we feel every Woman should be able to experience being a part of a Christian sisterhood, without being a college student or graduate.
The ultimate desire is that all women would come to realize who they truly are and that they are royalty; in doing so, believing they would develop a divine spiritual connection in the sisterhood that was full of love, fellowship, praise and worship all in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. This would also allow women to walk, talk and act the way a virtuous woman should without compromising her beliefs, integrity, and character. It is truly a divine ministry/sisterhood where women would be mentored into being more of who God created and intended them to be.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP
A woman who…
- Is not necessarily a Christian, but must acknowledge the personage of Jesus Christ
- Must be at least 17 years old for women, and 6 years old for little girls,
- Must be a natural born female
- Membership is FREE, but Must pay graduation/Coronation fees.
- Must complete our initiation process.
The Initiation Process
Unlike mainstream sororities, STEP does NOT have an intake or rush period. However, we do have a declaration ceremony which acts like a “pledging” process as part of our initiation process.
The process does not have a secret or ritualistic nature, a member simply recites, from memory, along with her handmaids the declaration of the sisterhood. The declaration is a revision of the scripture Proverbs 31 which speaks of the character of a virtuous woman, and declares all positive virtues over her life. At the end, the member will be bestow her first title of Lady Virtue.
